Description

On Top Pink Halo Begonia is a white semi-ruffled blossom with a blushing pink edge. On Top Begonias are the absolute best container picotee begonia available from any source. They are as quick as Non-Stops, but far better branched and with more blooms. They are tough, early, compact, heat tolerant and features an exceptionally long blooming period. On Top Begonias are extraordinarily floriferous and their unique mounding habit makes them ideal for both upright and hanging basket containers. On Top Begonias perform exceptionally well as bedding plants.

Of all the begonias I purchased this season, this is my very favorite. I put three in a large hanging pot. The flowers are a bit smaller than my other begonias, but the profusion of blooms and the color (much prettier than the picture)are spectacular. My mother-in-law can’t stop commenting on its beauty. I will buy 3 for her next year.

FAQ

How long does it take for begonia bulbs to bloom?

About 15-20 weeks. For more information view our blog on Growing Begonias in Pots.

How much sun do begonias require?

Begonias do best in high filtered light throughout the day. In cooler climates begonias can tolerate more sun. An eastern exposure is acceptable, receiving full sun in the morning with afternoon shade. It is best not to plant begonias in areas with full shade.

How many begonia bulbs do you plant in a container?

Normally only 1 bulb is necessary per container, but for a bigger show multiple bulbs may be planted.

Do you offer a guarantee?

We pride ourselves on selecting and shipping only the highest quality begonia bulbs. We ship at the best planting time for your area or time requested. If you are not 100% satisfied with your purchase, please notify us within 1 year of purchase and we will determine the appropriate compensation.

When do you ship begonias?

We harvest our begonia bulbs in late December and begin shipping in February. We do not ship bulbs when there is a high chance of them freezing. If bulbs freeze they will not perform when they are planted.

Do you sell begonia seed?

Yes we do! Click here to view our begonia seed selection.

Do you offer a printed catalog?

We do offer a printed catalog. Request a product catalog.

Do you ship outside the U.S.?

Yes, we ship outside the U.S. A $50 Phytosanitary Certificate fee and shipping cost will be added to any international order. Please contact us by phone at +1 or by email at [email protected] for more information on placing an international order.

When do you plant begonias?

Tuberous begonias are tender and cannot be placed outdoors until danger of frost is past. In areas where temperatures experience hot summers, begonias should have enough time to be established before the warmer months.
